I believe in finding balance...in life.

Finding balance in every aspect leads to a healthy, happy life. Being healthy means a good balance between fitness, work, play, love, relationships, diet, giving, receiving, etc. There is no perfect mix. What works for one, may not work for another. Finding your balance is a journey, not a destination.

Starting to find balance with the physical body will lead to finding balance in other areas of life. Being physically fit means working on endurance, strength, cardio vascular, and flexibility. Too much of one, and not enough of another can lead to injury. Finding the balance is important to your health.

No matter where you are in your life, no matter how stressed or busy, you can work towards building a healthy, happier self. Even the smallest changes can make huge impressions. No more excuses, just get started today.

I have over 15 years of experience in the fitness industry. I feel very blessed to be doing what I love. I love helping others work towards better health and happiness. Let me help you get started today.

What people are saying about Jennifer Shelton...

Four years ago, while looking over pictures from my 42nd birthday party, I asked my wife Carol “Am I getting fat?”

Carol, in her ever tactful manner, replied “Well, you’re not getting skinnier.”

As a gift to myself I decided to get into better shape but rather than try to do it myself I decided to work with a personal trainer. The idea of hiring a trainer seemed extravagant. I am not wealthy; I work full-time and to make matters more difficult I travel quite a bit. But I also knew that the exercise routine I followed when I was 25 would not work for me at 42 and that I needed help.

A co-worker recommended Jennifer and with her guidance and encouragement I can honestly say my life has changed. Since starting with Jen I have lost and kept off 20 pounds, finished five marathons and one ultra-marathon, and become a big fan of the benefits that may be derived from practicing yoga. That last part makes my friends shake their heads. “You? Yoga?” they say. Yes, me.

It is at this point I should be very honest. Yes, I have lost 20 pounds, but that doesn’t mean I suddenly started looking like George Clooney. And yes, I have run farther than I ever imagined I could, but that doesn’t mean I do it with the grace and speed of an Olympic athlete.

Jen is a great personal trainer, but she is not a miracle worker.

What Jen has done for me and can do for you are give you the knowledge to live healthier, a plan to become fitter and the proper instruction to minimize the risk of injury. If you provide 100% of the effort and 90% of the motivation, Jen will be there with a plan, proper instruction and that additional 10% of encouragement we all need to achieve our goals.

I wasn’t kidding when I said that with Jen’s help my life has changed. It has and for that I am thankful every single day.
