Finding Balance

by | Jul 17, 2025 | My "Why"

My approach to fitness… and life.

I try to lead by example and coach what has proven to work for me and others that use the same approach. I believe in working towards striking a balance . . . in all aspects of your life: eating, workouts, work, relationships, social, etc.

Here are some of my foundational beliefs: these guide my decisions in my entire life, and help me coach to the fullest of my abilites.

1. I believe living a balanced life is the the secret to living a healthy and happy life

    • There’s a lot of information out there (much which is unhealthy, impossible, or even dangerous advice)
    • “All or nothing” and unrealistic approaches don’t usually work, and often lead to making one feel worse about themselves (failure, let-down, like there’s something wrong with me, etc.)

2. Everyone can strive towards more balance

    • Working towards just one little healthy change, in one little category of your life, has huge, lasting, and positive long-term effects.

3. Realistic and doable

  • This approach doesn’t mean you’re always happy and live in a utopia world. But recognizing and accepting the feelings for what they are when, allows us to “balance” out sooner.

At the end of the day. . .

Striving for balance in your life is not always easy, and once you feel like you’re “balanced”, then something will change and/or you begin a new phase in your life. But I personally believe that having the mindset and approach to always adjusting the tip of the scale, just a little bit at a time, is the best approach to leading a healthy and happy life.
